Days in Prague were still cold and crisp.
One day I went on boulder this time alone since friend of mine didn't reply to my message. Not sure what is going on with him. I've managed to do almost all blue / easiest routes. Another day I went to Fitness with another friend and did a good workout before traveling back home. Had a nice and inspiring chat in sauna as always. Got a few very interesting ideas on AI that I want to try out as soon as possible. Friend of mine seems to already adapted it heavily and I feel like I'm missing out. Have to finally spent some time and experiment with it a bit. Also I miss co-working space for sharing things like this more often.
Work-wise I've finished few tasks but I'm not very satisfied with performance of my solution. Likely I'll have to revisit it again. I also got into another task but it turned out to be much more immature than anticipated. I'll need to spent some time to understand and ideally help with putting together business requirements. Seems like in this new age of AI it will be crucial to handle business side more.
Week in Prague went quick but this time I've enjoyed good beer and food almost every day. I've also had a lunch with my ex-colleagues. It was very jovial.
Last minute We've planned a weekend trip to Maribor and I took a day off on Friday. I've arrived to Zagreb at Friday morning, took a walk to home, had a breakfast, shower and went to bed. When I woke up it was about 2pm afternoon and we went for a lunch to a newly found Thai place. It was great!. Sun was shining and food was wonderful, I'm glad that I've found it. It took just a year and I'm sure next week we'll have something from them again. The thai lady was incredibly nice it seems to be a culture thing. This "restaurant" (more like a street food place) will definitely be the place that we'll miss anywhere else.
Next day we had went to Maribor at comfortable time around 10:30. We've got a hotel room even before official check-in time (same as few years ago), room was spacious, clean and perfect, with shower and tube as well (same as few years ago).
We had a short walk, went to Vietnamese restaurant that we missed so much and were actually quite disappointed. Prague Vietnamese cuisine set the standard way too high. Almost no herbs (!!!) , mild broth, questionable beef. It wasn't bad, but definitely not worth traveling. Lady cook approached us and we talked briefly, she recommended us another restaurant in Ljubljana (which I know about since there are only very few in whole country), and confirmed that there is no Vietnamese community in Zagreb and that in Czech republic situation is much better. Little did she know that we came from Prague possibly one of the best Vietnamese places and were striving to find similar. When she found out I think I saw a subtle disappointment or shame that she couldn't offer us something better. Getting ingredients must be challenging here.
That day we went on Thai massage. This was my first time and I liked it. Veronika went after me and i was just reading a book while waiting. After massage we went for a dinner and Veronika found a restaurant with Fish-and-chips. Food was excellent and I think that this was and will be the best fish-and-chips that we had and will have for a long time. Crust was crisp, fish was very tender. Place was bit weird though. We were definitely amongst the very few younger people there. There was a very loud disco music and whole place reminded more a disco-bar rather than restaurant. Group of people sitting next to our table consisted of 4 similarly looking men in mid 40 on one side and 4 blond women in their forties that looked alike. We had a two drinks there and I felt strangely dizzy for a while so we went back to a hotel room.
Next day we just visited a smaller art gallery - also great. I've missed art and it was refreshing. Gallery was of a perfect size so we weren't tired after it.
Noticed that elections are getting closer in Slovenia. Looks like some things are same everywhere.

Notice
- Music taste in public space differs in Maribor from Zagreb. Its very loud and mostly electronic. Not sure what to think about it.
- Oh I love having a free day and seeing working-day city vibe. Its so different.
