Feb 16 - Feb 22
Work dragged slowly for me last week (as usually). Only toward the end of the week did I manage to get a somewhat normal task that will last several days. I talked about this with my colleague, and he promised that it would change. He also outlined a few larger tasks that I’ll be able to look into in the near future. Conversation brought me some optimism.
Until Friday I was managing home alone and was doing fine. Got a good sleep every night, cooked, cleaned, jumped right into good routine. On Tuesday my package from China arrived with few components and on Thursday dishwasher stopped working. Veronika came back on Friday. Slovak news were all about exceptional success of Slovak Ice hockey team on Olympics, so I decided to buy some fancy local beer and spent my evening watching match Slovak against USA. What boring useless waste of time it was. It just reminded me of how disappointing and boring it always was when I watched any kind of sport on TV for whatever bizarre reason. Result was 6:2 for USA and beer was great.
On Saturday weather was supposed to be better and it was, but still cold about 10 degrees. I took out my bike and tools and went for a test ride to Jarun. To my surprise it was full of people walking around. Bike didn't need any maintenance other than put more air into tires.
In the evening I've finished sample setup for my little project on batteries and It all went smooth.
Last missing piece is to put it all on prototype soldering board and put it inside black box. I want to wrap up this project soon give that better weather is ahead and daylight is extended. I'm sick and tired of winter and artificial light in my room.
During week I received email typical for my bank: We miss some important documents, please have a look at the inbox in your mobile app for all details or contact us. I've checked my mobile app and after some digging I've found message in archive folder with title "last call" and content saying that they miss some documents or information and I should contact them. Okay, I've contacted them, no response in 2 days. So I've called them because I was curious about what they do miss and It turned out I need to provider them my new ID (last expired a year ago) and sign some Tax Residency paper. Therefore its time to plan another trip to Prague for me instead of vacation in Slovenia.
Oh and I've almost forgot. This week is the anniversary of moving to Zagreb!
