This week was very warm. I managed to get on a bike mid-day on Tuesday to clear my head and it was great.
We visited a new place for a lunch - Pedro Pite. It was alright.
On Friday, friend arrived and we went for a beer. Visited Valhalla - metal bar and Garden Brewery later. Smoking is allowed in Valhalla, as in most of the pubs/bars in Croatia, but this time it was very well ventilated and I didn't mind at all.
Garden Brewery was crowded, but we managed to get some place to sit. Beer was great in both places. Friend came with 3 other friends, all were beer sommeliers of some sort that came to attend here in a competition I guess as a judges. My frient attended with his own beer. It was interesting to hear them discussing the beer taste and opinions but they also were visibly fed up with not so good beer on a competition. I learned something. And also confirmed that most of the craft beer is unfortunately a shit. Its just better to stick to a well tested brands. Its fine to give a chance to a new one once in a while, but chances are that it will be just bad. Also what a strange hobby once again.
Last time when I met a friend in Prague, he was with few colleagues and were discussing their hobby War Hammer. I found that fascinating. It is primary a board game with complex rules where a player uses his own figures (printed for example) that must be properly painted. Then there is also a computer game and couple of books, but mainly it is centered around those figures. While it can be relaxing and fun, I can't get rid of the impression that it is just a childish hobby and I'd be even sort of ashamed to be a part of it. One of the guys showed me such a figure and I understood that it definitely requires a lot of skill and patience to paint that figure properly. But it is still just a painting of a figure hat will be used for a board game later.
This time I met a group of people that have a different hobby. Beer. Tasting, brewing or both, but quite deep and with passion. Talking about taste, brands, places, beer, qualities, competitions and rules. With side effect that after consuming you'll get drunk. I like beer but don't want it to be in a center. And I also can imagine to live without it completely. I guess I have yet to see a hobby that isn't silly.
This week I've visited Jarun 3-times which is becoming silly as well. From all the places I can visit I choose the one with best cyclo road. Last time it was interesting. Since I was still feeling effects of yesterdays beer consumption and I was tired a bit so I've just set a goal to go slower but steady all around 3 times. It was hot, about 30 degrees with a head-wind 30-40km/h on one side of the lake. When I came back home, I've learned that I've broke a new record on 20k with average speed of 25.9km/h. I thought that I'll have one of the poorest results...
My brother cancelled his plans to go on longer trip with me and I'm still missing a partner which is a pity for me. I'll either go alone or won't go at all.

Observation
- Being consistent is more than putting an extra-effort.
- Nasip and Jarun was full of people in the evening, just leisure walking after a workday
- Center was super crowded on the Saturday. Night life in its full, didn't see that for a long time even in Prague.
Training
- 62km cycling
Backlog
- Still want to do that 70+km route south of the Zagreb, Just need to prepare food and reserve 6 hours.
- Also want to try to go to Sljeme but from western part and why not visit Graficar once again. This week we should have lower temperature, until weekend.
