Storytime
More or less calm week. Weather improved significantly and jumped from winter straight to summer. One day I saw low temperature to be 2°C and highest 20°C. Spring lasts just a couple of days in recent years and those few days are just ending. I couldn't make excuse to not start training anymore.
One evening I've managed to assemble my bicycle and on Saturday I made my first test ride with all my tools with me ready to fine-tune whatever was needed on spot. Didn't need to though, I guess I've learnt how to do that properly at last.
First half of the week we ate what we prepared and I must say It was mostly Veronika that took care of that. By the end of the week I've found eatery across the street so we went there. It was not bad at all, prices are bit more expensive but similar to what we're used to in Prague, It was great to have a proper meal after long time. More over I had a fish 2 days in a row and I enjoyed that. Found a coffee place nearby, greengrocer, butcher shop, we even found a bigger groceries with wide selection of product. We are settling down!
Observation
- Pollen season will start soon, I'm starting to take medications.
- Finally settling in, resolved few pain points.
- People around including neighbors and shop assistants are usually jovial, kind, and in good mood. Thats unusual compared to what I'm used to in Prague where default stance is being grumpy.
- There is so much space, greenery, wide pathways everywhere.
- Cycling road network is dense here, I love it.
- Traffic is high but roads are adjusted.
Training
- running, 7.84km - 45min
- cycling, 31.49km - 1h 55min
Need new shoes.
Future
- For a change we'll be going to Makarska next week.
- We'll start visiting and inviting friends soon.
- Would be great to incorporate TRX into training. I bet it would alleviate light back pain.
Loot
As a part of my test-ride I went on to visit this place not too far away.

Rakete or Richterovi neboderi - apartment buildings reinforced to withstand earthquakes. Build couple of years after disaster in Skopje. Yugoslavian buildings built in this time period are known to be more durable because of this event.

And I've also checked how my hood is doing. Its doing just fine.
