Storytime
After all preparation we moved. At the end of the week I handed over the flat to the new tenants and went back to the office. Later went on overnight bus and arrived to Zagreb in the early morning. Went straight to the new flat for the first time. Boxes and personal belongings are everywhere and every day after work we had lots of work to do. In addition to work itself. Managed to find smaller grocery and drugstore nearby but we mostly lived of Wolt and delivery services for now. Moving caused a lot of stress and now its time to settle down.
While busy I thought that the only way to kind of relax is to have a little walk before work. Sunrise is early enough already after all so I've tried it and went on to explore the path right next to the Sava river Savski nasip. That will be my training route. By the end of the week I've realized that I need to renew my id and passport and now it is the best time to do that even though I still have a month to do so. This means that I'll go to Slovakia for the next week and work from there. Weather was favourable on Saturday and I managed to take a bigger walk to the city center.
Observation
- Its the coldest part of the year, end of February.
- The flat feels welcoming despite being cold. Building have no separate insulation compared to my previous apartment.
- Building is from 60s (I guess), facade needs some love.
- Wolt and food delivery options are narrow. Food is worse and more expensive.
- Walking before work is great. Currently best way to see the sun and relax a little.
Future
- More traveling. Have to visit Slovakia after 3 months or so to renew my papers.
- As soon as I settle down from moving, I'll start with training.
- Have to find a rhythm. Solve food, shops, daily routine.
