General
It is obvious that we're at the brink of change. Democratic powers are under pressure and are possibly loosing if not lost already in the war that the name has yet to be given. Social media disrupted conventional opinion building and populists gained big advantage. World powers are regrouping.
Us stocks stepped down after Trumps tariffs on everything, Eu stocks stayed. Crypto halving occurred but this time in price.
All Quiet on the Eastern Front
Russians are progressing very slowly with high losses, Ukrainians are trying to hold. USA's idiot sobered up a little after Putin managed to rhetorically agree with 30 day cease fire but practically did absolutely nothing.
Europe
First steps to European defense have been made. A lot of money will be available to target 'Rearm Europe' plan. Somehow I don't believe that this will be it but maybe it is just a first step and will progress into something more believable.
As it is with illness, immunity starts to work after being exposed. After overcoming it, blood is filled with antibodies for a good while. Europe is weak now after long time without threat.
Reason why I somehow don't believe that it will work for now is that throwing money at the problem on its own won't do anything. Well apart from that some people will get rich indeed. I don't observe sentiment that people are ready and willing to defend their countries. Western countries have no borders with a threat, Poland is arming on its own same as Baltic and then there is Slovakia and Hungary with populist leadership that is sometime turing Ukraine into offending and trouble making country and Russia as a victim. There is no unity and will yet. Opinions are fragmented.
But Germans are going to make tanks again!
Slovakia
My home Slovakia is led by populists with low competence and almost no public interest. Leading parties made appealing image to the majority of older voters that are easy to influence simply by giving them more money and fabricating a plausible topics. Moreover very soon it will be hit by USA Trump's sanctions on automotive industry. At least 12% of Slovak's GDP is made by automotive industry. I remember debates I had with friends during our train journeys (it was a time when people used to talk with each other so the time passed by faster) about this issue where I was pointing out the danger of focusing on one industry. That was about a year 2010. And just to add, new outbreaks of Foot and Mouth Disease are appearing in the country.
Last time taxi driver told me that people don't have money anymore and I can tell that everything became expensive there as well. What will be next year when government will have to collect more (and it is already announced that it will happen) ? Tough times are ahead of us and nobody knows the end of this pendulum swing.
